Allergic rhinitis (inflammation of the nose) and sinusitis (inflammation of the sinuses) can cause significant symptoms that patients can find very bothersome. In addition to the history and physical examination, Drs. Ruggiero and Herrero may use a combination of sinonasal endoscopy and an in-office CT scanner to diagnose sinonasal diseases. Our medical staff and our patients find the in-office CT scanner to be a very convenient and cost effective way to gather more information which is critical to making accurate and appropriate treatment plans which may include both medication as well as endoscopic sinus surgery.
